The Art of Der Orchideengarten, the first magazine to publish “Weird Tales,” or the founding stories of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and mystery genres. Along with stories by such famous writers as Edgar Allan Poe, the magazine featured original artwork by male and female artists of the day. These illustrations have been reprinted by The Century Guild Museum which creates fine limited edition books documenting rare artworks from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
